ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): The three-member inquiry committee investigating the death of Islamabad Police officer SP Adeel Akbar has finalized its report, sources confirmed.

According to insiders, the committee was led by DIG Haroon Joiya, with DIG Atique Tahir and DIG Operations Jawad Tariq as members. The inquiry aimed to determine the true cause of the senior officer’s mysterious death.

Police sources revealed that the committee did not find any evidence suggesting suicide. It has also received the post-mortem report confirming that the cause of death was a bullet wound to the face.

Officials stated that the committee recorded statements from SP Adeel Akbar’s wireless operator, driver, and other staff members. A psychologist’s statement was also included, as the officer had reportedly consulted his doctor twice before his death.
