According to police sources, Adeel Akbar was inside his official vehicle when the tragic incident occurred. His operator and driver, who were present in the car, have been taken into custody and questioned by the police. Investigators have already gathered key information from their initial statements.

As per the operator’s account, SP Adeel was on his way to the Establishment Division regarding his promotion. During the journey, he received a phone call at around 4:23 PM and immediately instructed the driver to head toward the Foreign Office. After verifying some documents there, he returned to the vehicle.

The operator revealed that shortly after, Adeel Akbar received another phone call. Moments later, he asked the operator to hand him the gun. “I removed the magazine and gave him the gun,” said the operator, adding that Adeel laughed and asked, “Does this gun even work?”

He then requested the magazine, asking how many bullets it contained. “I told him there were 50 bullets. He loaded the magazine himself, and suddenly, I heard a gunshot,” the operator recounted.

The bullet struck Adeel Akbar in the forehead and exited from the back of his head, killing him instantly. The control room was immediately alerted that “SP Sahib has fired himself.” The driver rushed him to PIMS Hospital, but doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

Police officials confirmed that a full investigation is underway. The inquiry includes examining Adeel Akbar’s recent phone calls, mobile data, and both personal and professional matters to determine the circumstances that led to his death.

This case has taken a mysterious turn. The timing of two phone calls, Adeel’s sudden behavior change, and his chilling last words have sparked speculation. Police are now under pressure to uncover whether it was a planned suicide or if something more troubling lies behind this tragedy.
