ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): Two women were killed instantly when a car collided with their scooter at Secretariat Chowk, Constitution Avenue here on Tuesday.

Police sources said the women, named Samreen and Tabinda, died instantly from injuries sustained in the high-speed crash.

Following the incident, the Secretariat Police registered a case at the instance of the brother of the deceased, Samreen, while the car driver has been taken into custody from the scene.

The FIR states that the brother of the deceased explained that his sister was returning home with her friend when he received a call from her number and learned about the accident. Upon reaching the hospital, he found that both his sister and her friend had died.

Police sources further revealed that the father of the detained driver is associated with the judiciary, and the driver has yet to present his identity card and driving license.
