A judicial commission investigating the death of Mir Raza Ali has announced a Rs100,000 reward for credible information that could help establish the facts of the case.

The commission, headed by Sindh High Court Justice Umar Sial, took the decision during its proceedings on Friday, August 28, 2026. It ordered that advertisements be published in newspapers to encourage members of the public to share any information they may have.

Public urged to come forward

The commission will also issue an official email address and WhatsApp number through which people can contact the panel and provide information.

Justice Umar Sial said the appeal was aimed at encouraging people with knowledge about Mir Raza's death to come forward without hesitation.

He said a Rs100,000 reward would be given for information considered important and useful in helping the commission determine what happened.

Notices to be placed at discovery site

The commission also directed authorities to display notices at the location where Mir Raza's body was discovered.

The move is intended to reach potential eyewitnesses or other individuals who may have seen something relevant before or after the body was found.

Mir Raza's disappearance

Mir Raza Ali was reported missing on July 28. His body was recovered the following day from Gulistan-e-Johar, Karachi, raising questions surrounding the circumstances of his death.
