Mir Raza case takes new turn as audio surfaces, grave exhumation ordered
The Mir Raza case has taken a new turn after an alleged audio message involving financial dealings surfaced, while authorities have decided to exhume his body for a fresh medical examination.
Police have questioned several people allegedly connected to financial transactions involving Mir Raza. According to police sources, one person provided investigators with an audio message in which Mir Raza is allegedly heard discussing financial matters and payments.
In the audio, Mir Raza allegedly mentions an amount involving a person named Irshad. The message also reportedly includes suggestions about making payments through cheques, including three cheques of Rs10 lakh each.
Investigators are examining the audio message to determine its authenticity and whether it can be used as evidence in the case. Authorities have not yet publicly established whether the voice or contents of the recording are genuine.
Meanwhile, the previous medical board has been restored in the Mir Raza Ali case, and officials have decided to carry out the exhumation today.
According to the investigation plan, the exhumation will take place at 11am under the supervision of a magistrate. A medical board will conduct the procedure at a cemetery located within the jurisdiction of Ferozabad police station.
A Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate Karachi East will also be present during the proceedings. The SSP East, relevant station house officers and investigating officers have been informed.
Following court orders, a new eight-member medical board has been formed for the exhumation. The decision comes after the earlier medical board became controversial, prompting Mir Raza’s father to initially refuse permission for the exhumation.
The latest developments could provide investigators with additional evidence as they continue probing the circumstances surrounding Mir Raza’s death.
