India charges alleged Pakistani ‘perpetrator’ involved in the Pahalgam attack.
India's allegations against Pakistan over the Pahalgam attack, has not only sparked military confrontation, but also hostility between the two countries. Without publicly presenting evidence, New Delhi held Islamabad responsible, suspended the Indus Waters Treaty, and carried out strikes inside Pakistan. The Pakistani military responded with retaliatory action.
In a statement, India's National Investigation Agency (NIA) said Saeed had been booked on charges of "waging war against India" and conspiring to carry out the attack from across the border.

While Indian authorities initially attributed the assault to a little-known organization called The Resistance Front, investigators now allege the group functions as a front for the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), an allegation included in the latest case against Saeed.
Islamabad has firmly rejected India's allegations from the outset, maintaining it had no involvement in the incident. Pakistan has repeatedly called on New Delhi to share evidence supporting its claims, while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif proposed an impartial international investigation, an offer India did not accept.
Saeed, who heads Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), has previously faced legal proceedings in Pakistan over terror financing offences. India has also, for years accused him of being one of the key planners behind the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
