A shocking robbery took place when armed men targeted female students of a medical college in Karachi. The incident happened on Shaheed-e-Millat Road near Medicentre within the limits of New Town police station.
According to police, the robbery occurred early in the morning when a college bus arrived to pick up students. Two unidentified armed men suddenly boarded the bus and started snatching valuables from the students.
They took mobile phones, jewellery, and other items from at least three female students before escaping. Police said the suspects took advantage of a security lapse, as guards who are usually present in the area were missing at that time. After receiving the report, police reached the spot, collected evidence, and started an investigation.

The incident has raised serious concerns about student safety and public security in busy areas. Inspector General (IG) Sindh Police Ghulam Nabi Memon took immediate notice of the case. He directed the Additional IG Karachi to submit a detailed report and ordered strict action against the responsible officers.
He also instructed police to identify the suspects with the help of victims and eyewitnesses and ensure their quick arrest. Authorities have promised strong action to prevent such incidents in the future.
