This case is related to the alleged promotion of illegal online gambling applications. During the hearing at the Lahore Sessions Court, Aroob Jatoi appeared before the court as directed. The judge instructed the plaintiff to present a lawyer at the next hearing and extended her bail until the next date of proceedings.
The case is part of a wider crackdown against social media influencers accused of promoting unauthorized online betting apps in Pakistan. Several prominent figures, including Ducky Bhai and his wife, have been named in the investigation, which authorities describe as one of the largest actions taken against digital gambling promotions in the country.
Earlier, a sessions court had dismissed the bail plea of Ducky Bhai in the same case. Additional Sessions Judge Sajida Chaudhry conducted the hearing, during which the prosecution argued that the YouTuber acted as a brand ambassador for a banned gambling app, allegedly causing financial losses to numerous individuals.
The prosecutor further claimed that evidence of money laundering had emerged during the investigation and that the accused failed to provide a satisfactory explanation regarding the source of income earned through the app.
However, the defense lawyer denied all allegations, contending that no complainant or eyewitness had come forward and that no gambling app was recovered from the accused.

The defense further argued that the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) sections had been incorrectly applied in the case.
The court will resume the hearing in November, as the investigation continues into one of Pakistan’s most high-profile cases involving social media influencers and digital betting app promotions.
