Ducky Bhai was recently taken into custody in Lahore over allegations of promoting betting apps online and placed on physical remand. Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo has since approved a four-day extension to allow law enforcement to continue investigations.
In response, Rajab Butt—who once collaborated closely with Ducky and shared a friendship evident in their content—has broken his silence. “The law should be the same for everyone,” Rajab stated, highlighting what he sees as selective enforcement. “We all saw PSL jerseys carrying betting app logos and ads running on national television. Why aren’t agencies going after the big fish?” he asked.
Rajab further criticized the targeting of smaller influencers, saying, “Hundreds of influencers may have promoted such apps, yet action is being taken only against a few individuals who are easier to arrest.”

Despite their personal estrangement following a project dispute involving mutual friend Nadeem Nani Wala, Rajab expressed sympathy, wishing Ducky Bhai and his family well during this challenging period.
Discussions have erupted on social media over the implications of cracking down on content creators and accountability in the influencer world, with Ducky Bhai’s future remaining uncertain.
