(Web Desk): Renowned Pakistani drama writer and poet Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has addressed recent criticism directed at his work by some notable figures in the industry.

In a candid interview on journalist Ambreen Fatima’s YouTube channel, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar responded to critiques from personalities including Nadia Khan, Maria Khan, and Atiqa Odho.

Commenting on Nadia Khan, Qamar stated that she has no connection with acting and is neither proficient in Urdu nor English. Rehman Qamar added that he never considered working with her. However, he acknowledged Atiqa Odho and Maria Khan’s struggles with the Urdu language and expressed his willingness to work with them after their language skills are more refined. He explained that "since dramas in Pakistan are primarily produced in pure Urdu, actors must learn the language."

Regarding Maria Khan and Atiqa Odho, Qamar admitted that he has never collaborated with them and accepted their criticism as valid. He expressed hope that once they improve their Urdu, he would be eager to work with them. He praised both as senior actresses with years of experience, mentioning he has watched Maria Khan in dramas like Tanhaiyaan and Dhoop Kinare, and Atiqa Odho in dramas such as Dasht or Nijat. He hopes one day they will be satisfied working with him.
