To bolster accessibility and efficiency across both urban and rural Pakistan, NADRA’s latest Pak ID app update introduces a multilingual interface, real-time tracking, and expedited CNIC cancellation.
Version 5.0.0 includes a refreshed splash screen and revamped dashboard, complete with official branding and enhanced navigation, intelligent (AI-powered) search on the dashboard—for faster, more intuitive access to services, and a faster CNIC cancellation workflow, especially relevant in cases of death or card impounding.
Furthermore, the new version features bilingual labeling (Urdu and English) for all app icons and features, improving usability in rural and multilingual regions, an inbox tracking feature enabling users to monitor application progress in real time—part of the broader ID application tracking upgrade, and a streamlined death-registration flow integrated with NADRA’s central system (CRMS) for smoother processing via Union Councils in selected areas.
NADRA’s ongoing efforts to unify multiple digital services—including CNIC renewals, NICOP processing, and death registrations—into a cohesive platform accessible via mobile devices are aligned with this release.
To deploy mobile registration units in flood-stricken districts of Swat and Buner, NADRA joined hands with the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) in early 2025. Visiting localities like Lundikass and Babuzai, these teams enabled real-time issuance of CNICs and relief eligibility documentation on the spot.
Officials are urging all Pakistani citizens—especially those in affected or underserved regions—to download or update to version 5.0.0 of the Pak ID app to take full advantage of these improvements.

By offering faster services, bilingual support, and in-app status visibility, this update is expected to significantly reduce administrative hurdles and improve citizen access to official identity credentials.
