As per information, Ducky Bhai presented an appeal in the sessions court on Saturday through his advocate against the judicial magistrate s directive to prolong his remand. The court accepted the appeal for hearing, issued a notice to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) and asked for a response by Monday.
Earlier, the physical remand of four days was granted by the judicial magistrate, which was criticized by his legal team. In his plea, the YouTuber contended that the magistrate was extending the remand without duly examining the facts and asked the sessions court to set aside the order.
Meanwhile, the court has also extended the interim bail of Ducky Bhai’s wife, Aroob Jatoi, until September 15, directing NCCIA not to arrest her during this period. The agency has also been ordered to submit a detailed investigation report at the next hearing.
In a significant turn of events, NCCIA has expanded its investigation and called up some other social media influencers for their suspected role in promoting illicit online betting and trading websites.
