Because investigations are still ongoing, the court agreed to extend Ducky Bhai’s custody until September 1.
Ducky Bhai’s lawyer, Chaudhry Usman Ali, opposed the extension, saying it was not needed.
However, the court approved the request made by the National Cyber Crime Authority (NCCIA), which is leading the investigation.
Ducky Bhai and several other social media influencers are accused of promoting illegal online gambling apps and platforms.
These apps have caused many people to lose money, which has raised serious concerns.
So far, investigators have collected 27 videos from Ducky Bhai’s social media accounts where he allegedly promoted these gambling platforms.
Authorities say this evidence will help them continue their investigation and bring the responsible people to justice.
This case is seen as an important step in Pakistan’s efforts to stop illegal online gambling and to regulate social media content.
