Pakistan’s first Miss World debut! Meet Anniqa Meraj, heading to Vietnam
Pakistan is set to make history as 24-year-old Anniqa Meraj has been crowned Miss World Pakistan 2026 and will represent the country at the 75th Anniversary Edition of the Miss World Festival in Vietnam.
The international pageant will be held from August 9 to September 5, bringing together contestants from around the world. Anniqa’s participation marks Pakistan’s debut at the prestigious Miss World competition.
Anniqa is a Business and Economics graduate with a special focus on accounting and auditing. She says her long-term goal is to become a State-Authorised Public Accountant while also working to support children’s rights and girls’ education in Pakistan.
“My future ambition is to achieve my dream of becoming a State-Authorised Public Accountant. And actively advocating for children’s rights and girls’ education to help build a brighter future for Pakistan,” Anniqa said.

The crowning ceremony was held at Lahore’s Faletti’s Hotel, where Dr Shafaq Akhtar, Miss Pakistan Universal 2022, and Attaullah Gujjar, Mr Pakistan World, crowned Anniqa as Miss World Pakistan 2026.
According to Miss Pakistan World, Anniqa is an experienced beauty pageant contestant. She has represented Pakistan in six international competitions and has won four international titles.
Although this will be Pakistan’s first participation in the Miss World pageant, the country has recently gained recognition in other global beauty competitions. Erica Robin and Roma Riaz have represented Pakistan at the Miss Universe pageant in recent years.
Organisers have described Anniqa’s participation as a historic milestone that will place Pakistan on the Miss World stage for the very first time.
