TikToker Ali Haider Abadi's divorce video sparks social media storm
Pakistani TikToker Ali Haider Abadi, who has more than 21 million followers on TikTok, has come under intense public scrutiny after announcing his divorce from his wife, Zainab Ali, in a YouTube vlog, sparking widespread debate across social media.
The video quickly went viral, with clips of the divorce announcement and subsequent allegations from both sides being widely shared across various social media platforms.
Hours after the video was published, Zainab Ali released her own video, claiming the divorce had actually taken place on February 27, 2026. Displaying what she described as divorce-related documents, she alleged that the latest video was uploaded merely to gain views, likes, and followers. She also appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to take notice of the matter.
In response, Ali Haider Abadi shared another video while holding a copy of the Quran, denying allegations of physical abuse. He rejected claims that he had assaulted or threatened his former wife, describing the dispute as a private family matter.
The online dispute escalated further as Zainab posted several additional videos repeating her allegations. Social media users also highlighted apparent inconsistencies in some of the videos, leading to further speculation.
However, no official investigation findings or medical reports have yet confirmed either party's claims. Authorities have not issued any formal statement regarding the case.
The incident has reignited concerns about influencers turning sensitive family matters into online content, while many users have urged both sides to resolve legal issues through the appropriate authorities rather than on social media.
