Social media activist Dr Nabiha and Haris Khokhar reconcile again, new twist emerges

Dr Nabiha made the announcement alongside her lawyer, who said her legal team had received instructions to withdraw the khula case. He explained that withdrawing the request means she no longer wants a divorce through the court.

The lawyer said efforts were also made to bring the couple together and that he had personally spoken with Haris Khokhar and his family. He said he had visited both families several times as part of efforts to resolve the dispute.

Dr Nabiha said she had reached a point of severe emotional distress when she decided to pursue khula. However, she now believes that excessive involvement by third parties had made the situation between her and her husband worse.

She alleged that people on social media had repeatedly tried to influence both her and Haris Khokhar. According to her, some individuals were sending messages and information to each side, creating further misunderstandings between the couple.

Dr Nabiha says social media worsened marital dispute

Dr Nabiha strongly rejected claims that she created the dispute for views or money. She said people were free to check her personal social media platforms because none of her accounts are monetized.

She said she had never wanted to use her marriage problems to earn money or increase online attention. According to her, she was genuinely distressed and wanted commitment from her husband, a stable home and the rights she expected as a wife.

Dr Nabiha also claimed that some people contacted her from outside numbers and sent alleged screenshots concerning Haris Khokhar’s conversations with women. She said some of the information she personally saw remained a concern, but other material sent to her was later found to be misleading.

She further claimed that an explicit video involving Haris had been created using artificial intelligence and sent to her. She said an investigation by her lawyer suggested that the video was AI-generated.

Haris Khokhar’s family gives assurance

Dr Nabiha said there had been genuine problems in the relationship, including disagreements involving her in-laws and other painful experiences. However, she said Haris and his family had now given assurances that they were prepared to accept her and make efforts to improve the marriage.

She said Haris’s family had assured her that they would accept her as their daughter-in-law. She also said she was willing to accept them as her parents and give the marriage another opportunity.

Dr Nabiha warns against interference in marriages

Dr Nabiha issued a strong warning to social media users, including men and women, against interfering in her personal life. She said she would reveal the identities of people if they continued trying to create problems between her and Haris.

She also said she would no longer bring her personal and domestic matters to social media. If problems arise in the future, she said she would seek help through proper institutions rather than making the issues public online.

Dr Nabiha also clarified that she will continue her professional work as a psychologist and may remain active on social media. However, she said she would no longer share details of her personal life and domestic matters online.
