Police register case against Rajab Butt after Lahore cafe incident
Police have registered a case against social media personality Rajab Butt and several of his associates after a woman accused them of assaulting her and her friends and opening fire during a dispute at a cafe in Lahore.
According to police, the FIR was registered at Nawab Town Police Station on the complaint of Ayesha Jutt, who alleged that the incident took place on July 25 when she visited a local cafe with her friends.
The complainant alleged that two men and two women began harassing one of her friends, leading to an argument between the two groups. She further alleged that when they tried to intervene, the suspects verbally abused her friend before allegedly slapping her during the altercation.

According to the FIR, one of the accused, identified as Mir Shafi, allegedly pulled out a pistol and opened fire during the dispute, creating panic at the cafe. The complainant also alleged that Rajab Butt was present at the scene and participated in assaulting her and one of her friends.
Following the complaint, Nawab Town police registered a case under Sections 354, 506(B), and 337-H(2) of the Pakistan Penal Code and launched an investigation into the incident. Police have not yet issued an official statement regarding any arrests or the progress of the investigation. Further legal action will depend on the findings of the inquiry.
