Shaniera Akram dismisses Wasim Akram death rumours
Shaniera Akram, the wife of Pakistan cricket legend Wasim Akram, has strongly rejected fake reports and AI-generated videos circulating on social media that falsely claimed the former Pakistan captain had died of a heart attack.
The false rumours spread rapidly through fabricated videos and misleading social media posts, causing concern among cricket fans in Pakistan and around the world.
To put an end to the rumours, Shaniera Akram shared a new video on social media showing Wasim Akram working out at a gym. In the video, the former fast bowler can be seen performing several exercises, including cable pulldowns, pull-ups, and barbell floor presses, before smiling at the camera.
Sharing the video, Shaniera said she wanted to respond to the fake news and AI-generated videos circulating online. She told her followers that, as everyone could clearly see, Wasim Akram was at the gym, healthy and doing well.
