Momina Iqbal reveals fresh details
Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal has spoken again about her ongoing dispute with PML-N MPA Saqib Chadhar, making fresh claims about what happened behind the scenes.
In the Momina Iqbal controversy, the actress said she initially wanted to resolve the matter peacefully. However, she claimed that she later faced pressure and alleged blackmail attempts.
Momina said some influential government figures contacted her and offered money to settle the matter. She claimed that neither she nor her husband received any money from Chadhar.
Claims of pressure and settlement
The actress also denied taking money in exchange for remaining silent. She said her only condition for settlement was that Chadhar should publicly tell the truth about the matter.
According to Momina, Chadhar initially agreed to release an apology video. She claimed he also asked her not to appear as a witness in court.
However, she said he later changed his position, allegedly arguing that discussing the matter publicly could damage the reputations of both sides.
The Saqib Chadhar harassment allegations have also reportedly been discussed between lawyers representing both sides as efforts for a settlement continued.
Alleged apology and family message
Momina claimed that lawyers from both sides discussed ways to end the dispute. She also said her sister received a message asking her to end the matter while considering the relationship the two had shared in the past.
She said her sister did not respond to the message.

The Momina Iqbal harassment case was reportedly filed over claims involving harassment, blackmail, cyberbullying and death threats. Momina said she felt that court discussions instead focused heavily on her past relationship and other personal matters.
Four years of emotional distress
Speaking about her experience, Momina claimed that she had gone through around four years of mental distress and trauma.
She also raised concerns about how women are sometimes treated in certain families. According to her, harsh treatment can become normalized, while a woman’s decision to reject someone should still be respected.
She said this should remain true even if a woman decides to end a relationship shortly before marriage.
How the dispute reportedly began
Momina also spoke about her earlier relationship with Chadhar. She claimed that she supported him when his political campaign began and helped with photo shoots and grooming.
She said she later noticed a major change in his personality and appearance compared with when they first met in 2017.
Momina claimed that her father eventually ended the relationship after an alleged kidney-smuggling matter involving Chadhar reportedly surfaced during an election period.
She said accusations and disagreements followed after that.
The Saqib Chadhar harassment allegations remain part of the wider dispute, while the Momina Iqbal controversy continues to attract public attention.
