According to a statement from Bozdag Film, the woman named Julieta Lorena Martinez developed a strong fascination with Turkish history and culture while watching the series. Her interest gradually deepened and led her to explore Islam further.
Martinez revealed in an interview with Anadolu that her journey began during the COVID-19 lockdown. “I started watching Turkish television because I was moved by the story, the history, and the Islamic information that I’d never known before,” she said. “This inspired me to read the Quran, and two years later, after watching Osman, I took my shahada and became a Muslim.”
After converting, Martinez fulfilled her dream of visiting Turkey. She traveled to Istanbul, visited the Bozdag Film studios, explored the series’ shooting locations, and spent time at the iconic Kayi Tribe camp shown in the drama.
She described her visit as an “emotional pilgrimage,” saying, “I’ve been renewed. I love this.” Her words reflect the powerful spiritual transformation the series inspired in her life.
