In the wake of what Ducky Bhai described as physical and verbal abuse while in custody, several high-profile Pakistani celebrities have publicly voiced their support and called for justice.
Among those speaking out is comedian Shaffat Ali, who condemned what he called “moral policing” by certain authorities and demanded and end to such practices.
Veteran actor and host Mishi Khan urged officials to hold perpetrators accountable warning that if such treatment is meted out to a well-known YouTuber, ordinary citizens may be suffering inn silence.
Others, like content creator Saqib Azhar, admitted they had not been regular viewers of Ducky Bhai’s content but said the video exposing the alleged maltreatment “broke their hearts”.
Meanwhile, actress Hira Mani sent heartfelt words of encouragement, posting a story on her Instagram handle.
On social media, supporters and fellow creators including some who had previously been at odds with Ducky Bhai have amplified his story, decrying what they see as selective justice against smaller creators.
