As per media reports, Meera, widely recognized for her successful career in Lollywood and modelling, had her entry to the UK refused over a decade ago, with her movements restricted.
According to her family, the UK authorities took this decision due to a misunderstanding generated during an English-language interview, where Meera struggled to understand the officer s questions, and vice versa.
Meera’s mother, Shafqat Zahra Bukhari, has made an emotional plea to the UK High Commission in Pakistan. She requested a visa for Meera to visit the UK, meet her family, and continue her professional work.
However, Meera’s challenges did not end with the 10-year ban. After it expired, her travel agent applied for a visitor visa on her behalf, but unfortunately provided incorrect information in the application. As a result, the visa was once again denied due to “false representation” of facts.
