Ayeza Khan, a popular Pakistani actress known for dramas like Meher posh and Mere Paas Tum Ho, has a huge social media following of 14.6 million. She is currently receiving praise for her role in Geo TV’s drama Hamraz. Alongside acting, she is also pursuing a diploma in acting from the UK.
For this Independence Day, Ayeza Khan dressed up in a style inspired by Lady Diana’s iconic visit to Lahore in 1991. Diana wore a sea green knee-length tunic with a white dupatta for a charity event at Shaukat Khanam Cancer Hospital. Ayeza copied the look by wearing a similar knee-length shirt in dark green, paired with shalwar and a white dupatta.

However, many social media users criticized Ayeza for copying Diana. Some said she cannot match Diana’s grace and personality. Others pointed out that copying British royals feels wrong, as Pakistan gained independence from Britain.
One fan commented that actors always remain followers and suggested Ayeza should have copied Fatima Jinnah instead. Some harsh comments included calling her “artificially beautiful” or comparing her unfavorably to Diana. Another said she looked like a grandmother.
Despite the backlash, Ayeza’s tribute to Diana shows her admiration for the late princess and highlights how iconic Diana’s style still is today.
