Arij Fatyma, once a familiar face on Pakistani television, has revealed something very personal: her fight against a rare and aggressive cancer called choriocarcinoma.
In a heartfelt Instagram video, she talked about how her life changed completely in just a few hours when she got the shocking diagnosis. This type of cancer starts in the uterus and can spread fast if not treated early.
She shared that before her diagnosis, she wasn’t very careful about her health and even skipped prayers sometimes, thinking she had a long life ahead, but the reality hit hard.

Arij fought bravely through a difficult four-month journey, including major surgery. She kept things private at first because she worried people might judge her or misunderstand what she was going through.
Her family was her biggest support during this challenging time, and she thanked them deeply. Arij also urged everyone not to judge others based on what they see online.
She stressed the importance of paying attention to your body and not ignoring warning signs. Instead of trying home remedies, she advised people to see a doctor if something feels wrong.
Now that she’s cancer-free, Arij will keep having regular checkups to make sure the disease doesn’t come back. She said the fear of it returning keeps her grounded and reminds her to live every day with purpose. She also asked her fans to keep her in their prayers.
Arij stepped away from the entertainment world in 2019, a couple of years after marrying Dr. Uzair Ali. Today, she lives in Ohio with her husband and their two sons.
