Crispy and tasty chicken drumsticks are a favorite dish at iftar. This simple recipe can easily be prepared at home.

Ingredients

  • Chicken drumsticks: 8 pieces
  • Ginger garlic paste: 1 tablespoon
  • Red chili powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper powder: ½ teaspoon
  • Salt: to taste
  • Soy sauce: 1 tablespoon
  • Vinegar: 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
  • Corn flour: 3 tablespoons
  • All-purpose flour (Maida): 2 tablespoons
  • Egg: 1
  • Bread crumbs: 1 cup
  • Oil: for frying

Method

First, wash the chicken drumsticks thoroughly and pat them dry.

In a bowl, mix ginger garlic paste, salt, red chili powder, black pepper, soy sauce, vinegar, and lemon juice.

Add the chicken drumsticks to this mixture and marinate well. Let them rest for 30 to 45 minutes.

Now prepare three bowls: beat the egg in one bowl, mix flour and cornflour in another, and place bread crumbs in the third.

Take the marinated drumsticks and coat them first in the flour mixture, then dip them in the egg, and finally roll them in bread crumbs.

Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the drumsticks on medium heat until they turn golden brown and crispy.

Once cooked, remove them and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

Serving Suggestion

Serve the hot crispy drumsticks at iftar with ketchup, chili sauce, or mayonnaise.

Tip: For extra crispiness, coat the drumsticks in bread crumbs twice before frying.
