During Ramadan, Iftar calls for something tasty and enjoyable for everyone. This creamy, cheese-filled baked pasta will surely add charm to your Iftar table.
Ingredients:
- Pasta – 500 grams
- Chicken (boiled and shredded) – 1 cup
- Oil – 2 tablespoons
- Onion (finely chopped) – 1
- Garlic-ginger paste – 1 tablespoon
- Tomato (finely chopped or pureed) – 2
- Salt – to taste
- Red chili powder – 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper – ½ teaspoon
- Oregano – 1 teaspoon
- Cheddar or mozzarella cheese – 1 to 1½ cups (grated)
- Bell pepper (diced) – ½ cup
Method:
1. In a large pot, boil pasta in water with salt and a little oil. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
2. In a pan, heat oil and sauté onions until golden. Add garlic-ginger paste and cook until fragrant.
3. Add tomatoes and spices (salt, red chili, black pepper, oregano). Cook until the masala is ready.
4. Add chicken and bell pepper to the pan and cook for 3 minutes.
5. Mix the cooked pasta with the chicken mixture and white sauce thoroughly.
6. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and sprinkle cheese on top.
7. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20 minutes, or until the cheese melts and turns golden.
8. Serve hot baked pasta at Iftar with fruit chaat and a chilled drink.
