KARACHI (Web Desk): Gold prices in Pakistan continued their downward trend, offering slight relief to buyers as rates dropped across major categories.

 

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs600, bringing it down to Rs481,862, compared with Rs482,462 recorded in the previous session.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold declined by Rs515 to Rs413,118, down from Rs413,633. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold became cheaper by Rs472, settling at Rs378,705 against Rs379,177 earlier.

Silver prices also moved lower in the domestic market. The rate of 24-karat silver per tola dropped by Rs43 to Rs9,482, while 10 grams of silver decreased by Rs37 to **Rs8,129.

On the global front, precious metals faced mild pressure as well. International gold prices slipped by $6 to $4,595, while silver lost $0.43, closing at $90.07, the association reported.

Market watchers say global price movements and currency fluctuations continue to influence local gold and silver rates, keeping investors cautious in the short term.
