Gold price in Pakistan falls again as global rates slip
Gold price in Pakistan has fallen again after a brief increase a day earlier, as both local and international bullion markets recorded fresh declines.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, the price of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs500 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs427,936.
The price of 10 grams of gold also declined by Rs428, settling at Rs366,886.
Meanwhile, silver moved in the opposite direction. The price of one tola of silver increased by Rs60, reaching Rs6,351 in the local market.
In the international market, gold prices also edged lower. The price of gold fell by $5 per ounce to $4,055, contributing to the decline in local gold rates.
The latest drop comes just one day after gold prices had posted a strong gain in Pakistan. On the previous trading day, the price of one tola of gold had surged by Rs1,700 to Rs428,436, while the price of 10 grams had risen by Rs1,457 to Rs367,314.
Silver had also recorded an increase in the previous session, with the price of one tola rising by Rs54 to Rs6,291.
Gold prices in Pakistan are influenced by fluctuations in international bullion markets and movements in the exchange rate. Traders say investors will continue to monitor global economic developments for further direction, as even small changes in international prices can quickly affect local gold rates.
