August 25, 2026: Gold prices in Pakistan fall amid weaker global rates
Gold reached Rs486,536 per tola after falling by Rs600 during the day. The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that 10-gram gold was sold at Rs417,126. The price of 10-gram gold declined by Rs514.
International gold rate falls
The international gold rate also moved lower during the trading session. It declined by $6 to reach $4,640 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
The global market movement influenced local gold prices. Buyers and investors are now watching international rates closely for further changes.
Previous day saw a rise
On the previous trading day, gold had moved in the opposite direction in Pakistan. The price of gold per tola increased by Rs4,200 to reach Rs487,136.
The latest decline has partly reversed that earlier increase. The change shows how quickly local gold prices can move with international market trends.
Silver prices also decrease
Silver prices also recorded a decline in the local market. The price of silver fell by Rs100 to reach Rs7,279 per tola.
The latest figures show lower prices for both gold and silver. Further changes will depend largely on international bullion prices and market conditions.
The latest gold decline is small compared with the previous day’s sharp increase. Global market movements remain an important factor behind changes in Pakistan’s bullion prices.
Buyers may continue watching international gold rates before making major purchases. Any fresh movement in the global market could quickly affect local prices.
