Power tariff cut by Rs1.28 per unit
Lahore (Suno News): The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) announced a cut of Rs1.28 per unit in power tariff for September’s fuel price adjustment.

NEPRA issued notification of slashing electricity price on Wednesday.

With the enforcement of the policy of  new price, the electricity consumers will get relief of Rs0.42 per unit in electricity bills.

Previously, NEPRA reduced electricity prices by Rs0.86 per unit under feul price adjustment in August.

The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) proposed a reduction of Rs0.71 per unit. After reviewing the CPPA’s request, NEPRA announced reduction in power tariff.

This new rate will be applied to the consumers of all power distribution companies with the exception of lifeline consumers, prepaid consumers, K-Electric consumers and Electric Vehicle charging stations.

NEPRA’s decision to reduce power tariff will not only cause reduction in exorbitant electricity bills but also bring stability in the electricity prices.
