The sale of cars across the country recorded a strong increase during the first half of the current fiscal year 2025-26 compared to the same period last year.
Data released by the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association showed that 65,910 cars were sold between July and December 2025-26, up from 46,502 units last year. This reflects a growth of 41.73%.

Toyota Corolla and Toyota Yaris sales saw a major rise of 73.57%, increasing from 9,633 units to 16,720 units during the period under review.
Honda cars also performed strongly, with sales jumping 58.71% from 6,404 units last year to 10,164 units this year.
Suzuki Swift sales nearly doubled, rising from 3,584 units to 6,944 units, showing a sharp increase of 93.75%. Hyundai Elantra sales also improved, climbing to 1,246 units from 603 units.
Hyundai Sonata sales increased by 23.59% from 267 units to 330 units, while Suzuki Cultus sales rose from 1,130 units to 2,468 units during the same period.

Rising car sales show improving buyer confidence. Lower inflation and easier financing may be helping demand. If this trend continues, the auto sector could grow further.
