KARACHI (Web Desk): Pakistan’s car market sees a new addition as Jaecoo launches its cheapest hybrid SUV, the J5, aiming to reduce the price gap between sedans and SUVs.

Advanced Hybrid Technology

Supported by Nishat Group, the Jaecoo J5 is a self-charging hybrid (HEV) that pairs a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine with a 1.83 kWh battery. The system, called Super Hybrid System (SHS), is developed by Jaecoo’s parent company Chery, providing efficient performance and fuel savings.

Exterior Design

The J5 draws design inspiration from Range Rover Evoque. It features a waterfall-style front grille, full LED headlights in premium variants, 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, concealed door handles, LED tail lamps, and a modern bumper. Its bold grille and sturdy design make it stand out on the road.

Interior and Cabin Comfort

Inside, the J5 has a dual-tone gray cabin with soft-touch materials and carbon fiber-style trims. The 36-color ambient lighting and Evoque-inspired center console create a spacious and modern interior.

Infotainment and Technology

A 13.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system lets drivers control driving modes, hybrid energy use, and other vehicle settings, enhancing convenience and tech integration.

Safety Features

The J5 prioritizes safety with 6 airbags, a 540-degree camera system with transparent chassis view, front collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. These features make driving safer and more comfortable.

Jaecoo J5 is launched as Pakistan’s most affordable hybrid SUV:

Comfort Variant: Rs6,699,000

Premium Variant: Rs7,699,000

These introductory prices are valid until 10 March 2026. Financing is available through MCB Car4U (up to 3 years) and Fleet4U (up to 7 years), with monthly installments starting around Rs106,000.
