This groundbreaking facility is the result of a strategic alliance between Pakistan State Oil (PSO), BYD Pakistan, Mega Motor Company (MMC), and HUBCO Green (HGL), bringing next-gen EV infrastructure to Pakistan’s highways.
With a network of 128 DC fast chargers planned, spaced every 150–200 km from Karachi to Peshawar, and 50 stations set to go live by December 2025, the project targets a core concern—range anxiety—and promises seamless, long-distance NEV travel.
But this isn’t just about charging. PSO is redefining roadside stops through its futuristic ‘Experience Hubs’—where clean energy, comfort, and convenience come together to enhance every journey.
At the Magic River Rest Stop, the PSO Experience Hub offers two 60kW DC fast chargers, capable of powering a BYD Atto 3 up to 50% (160–200 km range) in under 30 minutes. Meanwhile, travelers can relax at the modern VIBE Café & Store, turning wait time into break time.

The station’s rapid charging technology, combined with a hospitality-first approach, reflects more than innovation—it showcases a bold commitment to sustainable mobility and environmental responsibility.
By uniting BYD MMC’s and HUBCO Green’s clean energy expertise with PSO’s extensive nationwide presence, Pakistan is setting the groundwork for a reliable and accessible NEV charging network across the country.
This strategic rollout places Pakistan on the map for green transportation innovation. The integration of hospitality with clean energy infrastructure not only supports environmental goals but also elevates the driving experience. As this fast-charging network expands, it could dramatically accelerate NEV adoption and change the way Pakistanis travel.
