Second ODI: Pakistan thrash Australia by nine wickets
Adelaide (Suno News): The world champion Australia faced humiliated on his home ground at the hands of Pakistan, suffering an embarrassing defeat.

Pakistan won an ODI in Australia after eight years. Pakistan secured victory at Adelaide Oval after 28 years having last won a match in 1996.

Pakistan bowled brilliantly to punish arrogant batting by Australia’s all-star batters, restricting the men in gold to a paltry 163 runs. In a magnificent opening stand, Abdullah Shafique and Saim Ayub scored 137 runs. When Saim Ayub went, Abdullah finished the job, walking off unbeaten on 64 runs.

Pakistan lost the first ODI which was played in Melbourne, it has gained stunning triumph which could give green shirts a huge opportunity to win the three-match series, with Test stars Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne to sit out Sunday’s deciding match in Perth.

After losing the match, Pat Cummins said it was not one of our best days, adding that we hoped to get more than 160, but they bowled brilliantly.

“I have been bowling here for the Melbourne Stars, I knew the pitch, I knew the length. I just wanted to get the breakthrough,” Saim Ayub stated.

Pakistani squad is comprised of Abdullah Shafique, Saim Ayub, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan (c), Kamran Ghulam, Salman Agha, Irfan Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, and Mohammad Hasnain.

Australian squad consists Matt Short, Jack Fraser-McGurk, Steven Smith, Josh Inglis, Marnus Labuschagne, Glenn Maxwell, Aaron Hardy, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, and Josh Hazlewood.
