BYD’s eco-friendly Shark 6 hybrid pickup to hit Pakistani roads soon

(Web Desk) Get ready, Pakistan! BYD, the global electric vehicle giant, is set to make waves with the launch of its eco-friendly hybrid pickup truck, the Shark 6 PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle), by mid-2025.

Teased with a slick “COMING SOON” post on Facebook, BYD’s Shark 6 PHEV promises the best of both worlds: electric efficiency paired with petrol-powered performance.

Bookings for this much-anticipated vehicle are expected to open in late April or early May, making it one of the first advanced hybrid pickups in Pakistan’s market.

The Shark 6 PHEV features a dual-power system combining electricity and petrol, offering higher fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and a smoother driving experience. Initially available as Completely Built Units (CBUs), BYD plans to shift to local assembly by 2026 — a move that could boost employment and energize Pakistan’s automotive industry.

With automakers across the globe embracing green mobility, BYD’s entry marks a major leap toward a cleaner, tech-driven automotive future for Pakistan.
