This is a striking shift driven by rising energy costs, a chronic power crisis, and the falling global price of solar technology.
According to reports, an estimated 2,000 to 2,500 containers of solar panels arrive at Pakistani ports each month, fueling a booming market that’s empowering households and energizing local businesses.
Due to soaring electricity bills and frequent outages, more Pakistanis are turning to solar which is an affordable, reliable solution.
Solar technology, once costly, has become significantly more accessible. The price per watt has plunged from Rs110 to just Rs27, making systems from renowned Chinese and German brands widely available across local markets.
