No delay in budget, Govt confirms budget 2025-26 to be presented on June 10

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) The government has confirmed that the federal budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year will be presented on June 10, denying rumours of a delay due to the Eid holidays.
Following a National Assembly committee meeting, Federal Finance Secretary Imdad Ullah Bosal told reporters that the budget schedule remains unchanged, although the date for the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting may be adjusted.
He also noted that the budget is being prepared in collaboration with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Separately, Finance Minister’s Adviser Khurram Shehzad posted on X, clarifying that there has been no decision to postpone or reschedule the budget presentation.
He further confirmed that the Pakistan Economic Survey for FY25 is set to be released on June 9 as planned.
