The step has been taken with the support of the International Labour Organization (ILO). Under the plan, the government will also introduce the “Benazir Women Agriculture Workers Card” to recognize and support female workers in the farming sector.
Officials say the card will help identify women working in agriculture and connect them with welfare benefits and government support programs.

Senior Sindh minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said the initiative is meant to formally recognize the services of women working in agriculture. He added that this is the first step of its kind in Pakistan to ensure equal wages and better welfare for women workers in these sectors.
The cabinet also approved a new digital system in the education sector called Student Attendance Monitoring and Redress System “SAMRS”.
This digital platform will monitor students attendance and admissions in schools across the province. The system will also track absentee students and provide solutions such as counseling and peer support when needed.
Authorities said the monitoring system will be implemented across the province within one year.

The minister further said the government remains committed to women empowerment, infrastructure development and education reforms in the province.
This decision may improve the lives of many rural women who work in fields and farms but often receive lower wages. Equal pay can encourage more women to join the workforce. The welfare fund and worker card may also help them get official recognition and benefits. If the digital school system works well, it could help reduce absenteeism and improve education across the province.
