LAHORE: (Suno News) Hot weather takes its toll on not only humans but also plants. Plants need to be taken care of in the scorching beams of the sun, for they also face the harsh effects of intense heat.

If plants are not cared for in hot weather, they wilt and their leaves burn due to heat. In such a situation, they need to be covered with wet clothes to keep the moisture in them intact and prevent them from drying out.

Here are a few tips you can take into consideration when taking care of your plants:

Watering the plants

Due to the heatwave, the outer layer of the plants dries out and wilts and their leaves wilt. Watering them at the right time becomes very important to properly maintain them.

You should only water plants in the early morning or late in the evening. Avoid watering them in the middle of the day when the sun is at its greatest.

Keep them under shades

People place their plants outside under the sun for a long time. Keeping plants in the shade is necessary to protect them. If they are placed outside under the sun for too long, they start drying out and their leaves start burning. Keep them out under the sun for two to three hours only in a day. For the remaining hours, they should be placed under shades.

Proper nutrition

It is also important for plants to get proper nutrition; otherwise, they become useless. A proper nutrition of plants should be ensured for their growth. You should also fertilize your plants from time to time with organic fertilizers.

Green plants

Use a wet cloth to cover your plants to prevent them from drying out and keep them green. In addition, it is also important to cover their pots from all sides during hot seasons.
