(Web Desk): The Saudi Arabian Passport and Immigration Department, Jawazat, has issued new Iqama guidelines Saudi Arabia for foreign workers.

According to the announcement, a request can now be submitted to change the photo on an Iqama if there is a noticeable difference in appearance.

Jawazat clarified that a valid reason must be provided for any photo change; requests without justification will not be processed.

Foreign workers whose Iqama photo no longer matches their current appearance should book an appointment at their local Jawazat office with a valid passport and the new photo to request a change.

Additionally, Jawazat reminded foreign workers that an Iqama must be issued within 90 days of arrival on a work visa.

Failure to obtain the Iqama within the prescribed three months can result in a fine of 500 SAR. Newly arrived foreign workers are also required to undergo a medical test before the Iqama can be issued.
