(Web Desk): British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Jane Marriott, announced that UK Chevening Scholarships have officially opened for Pakistani nationals, alongside candidates from around the world.

The Chevening Scholarships are aimed at talented mid-career professionals with a minimum of two years’ work experience, offering them a fully funded opportunity to pursue a master’s degree at any UK university. The scholarship covers tuition fees, airfare, visa costs, accommodation, and a monthly living allowance.

In her announcement, Marriott described Chevening as “a launchpad for Pakistan’s future leaders,” encouraging eligible professionals to apply and seize the chance to enhance their skills, build networks, and contribute to Pakistan’s development upon their return.

Applications can be submitted from August 5 to October 7, 2025 via the official Chevening website. The program, funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organisations, selects individuals with exceptional leadership potential from across the globe.

Chevening Scholars not only gain access to world-class education but also join a global alumni network of over 55,000 professionals, including diplomats, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and academics.

Launched in 1983, the Chevening Scholarship has supported thousands of Pakistani scholars over the years, enabling them to contribute in diverse fields such as governance, education, health, and business.

“This is more than just a scholarship,” Marriott said. “It is an investment in the people who will shape the future of Pakistan.”
