The aircraft, operated by Siberia-based Angara Airlines, vanished from radar on Thursday as it approached its destination, the remote town of Tynda in Russia’s Amur region. The flight was carrying 50 passengers, including five children, and six crew members, according to regional authorities.
Initial search and rescue operations were launched after air traffic controllers lost contact with the aircraft during its final approach. The region’s Governor Vasily Orlov confirmed via Telegram that "all available resources had been mobilized to locate the missing aircraft."

Media reports state that the plane’s debris was located near the Russia-China border, and sources close to the investigation have claimed that there were no survivors among the 49 onboard.
While the Ministry of Emergency Situations had earlier estimated the number of passengers to be slightly lower—around 40—later reports confirmed the full manifest.
Further investigations are now underway to determine the cause of the crash.
