WASHINGTON/ISLAMABAD (Suno News): In a major diplomatic breakthrough, Pakistan has once again emerged as a champion of peace and responsibility on the global stage.

After India’s reckless and unprovoked aggression led to heightened tensions in the region, Pakistan’s strong but measured military and diplomatic response has brought the world’s attention — and now, a ceasefire has been confirmed.

US President Donald Trump has officially announced that both Pakistan and India have agreed to a ceasefire, crediting the success to smart and timely decisions by both nations — with a clear nod to Pakistan’s role in de-escalating the conflict.

Speaking on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), President Trump said: “After overnight efforts, I’m pleased to announce that Pakistan and India have agreed to a ceasefire. Congratulations to both countries using Common Sense and Great Intelligence.”

But what led to this sudden halt in hostilities?

The world saw India launch unprovoked attacks that violated Pakistan’s sovereignty, killed innocent civilians, and destabilized regional peace. In response, Pakistan launched Operation Bunyan un Marsoos — a precise and powerful counterstrike targeting Indian military bases, including key installations like the BrahMos missile depot, Udhampur Air Base, and Pathankot Airfield.

Pakistan’s message was clear: We seek peace, but we will never compromise on sovereignty.

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, in a statement posted on X, confirmed the ceasefire agreement, stating that Pakistan has always stood for peace without compromising on its national dignity and security.

“Pakistan and India have agreed to an immediate ceasefire. Pakistan has always advocated for peace while defending its sovereignty,” said Dar.

This development comes after strong international concern, including from China, which urged both sides to avoid further escalation and seek political solutions. Turkey also expressed firm solidarity with Pakistan and condemned India’s aggression.
