Why Dubai visa offers $800 rewards to residents bringing visitors
Dubai has introduced a new campaign called “A Dubai Invite” to encourage residents to invite their friends and family to visit the city. The move comes as Dubai looks to strengthen its tourism sector after months of uncertainty caused by regional tensions and Iran war threats.
According to the Dubai media office, “The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism launches ‘A Dubai Invite’, inviting residents to become ambassadors of the city by welcoming their loved ones to Dubai”. The campaign has started and will continue until the end of October.
Under the programme, residents who invite family members or friends between July 20 and October 31 can receive benefits worth more than AED3,000, which is over $800. These rewards include hotel stays, dining experiences, attraction tickets and several other special offers.
People living in Dubai can nominate the friends or relatives they want to invite through the official campaign website. Once approved, the invited guests can enjoy the listed benefits during their visit.
The initiative is aimed at encouraging more international visitors by using Dubai’s large resident community. Officials hope the campaign will increase tourist arrivals, support hotels, restaurants and entertainment businesses, and boost the local economy.
The announcement comes at a time when tourism in the region has faced challenges because of geopolitical tensions. By offering attractive rewards, Dubai hopes to convince more families and friends to choose the emirate as their next travel destination.

This campaign shows Dubai is focusing on tourism through personal connections instead of only traditional advertising. If many residents invite visitors, hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions could see higher business in the coming months.
