Qatar Airways has resumed limited flight operations through a designated safe corridor authorized by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) following disruptions caused by escalating tensions in the Middle East.
The airline confirmed that the safety of passengers and crew remains its highest priority, as operations continue under strict monitoring and contingency measures.
The partial resumption of aviation activity comes after the temporary closure of Qatari airspace, which was implemented due to growing regional security concerns.
Limited Flights Operating Through Safe Corridor
Under the current operational plan, only a restricted number of flights are allowed to operate each day through specially designated contingency routes approved by the QCAA.
These flights primarily include:
- Repatriation flights for stranded passengers
- Essential travel services
- Critical connectivity routes
Airline officials emphasized that the limited flight corridor was established after rigorous safety assessments conducted by aviation authorities.
“Your safety remains our priority,” officials reiterated while confirming that flight numbers are being kept intentionally low to ensure safe operations within the restricted airspace framework.

Regular Commercial Flights Still Suspended
Despite the partial resumption, regular scheduled commercial operations remain suspended for the time being.
Authorities said that the full restoration of normal flight services will depend on ongoing security assessments and official decisions by the QCAA.
Passengers are strongly advised to monitor airline updates and official aviation authority announcements for the latest information regarding flight schedules and travel advisories.
Gulf Airlines Gradually Resume Limited Operations
The disruption has affected aviation traffic across the Middle East, where multiple countries imposed airspace restrictions amid escalating geopolitical tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.
These tensions led to temporary airspace closures and widespread flight cancellations across several Gulf states.
Alongside Qatar Airways, other major Gulf carriers such as Emirates and Etihad Airways have also resumed limited flight operations through designated safe corridors or partially reopened airspace routes.
Efforts to Maintain Safe Air Travel
Authorities say aviation operations across the Gulf region are being managed in a highly controlled manner to ensure passenger safety while maintaining essential travel connectivity.
Airlines are prioritizing repatriation efforts and emergency travel needs, helping stranded passengers return home and reconnect with their families during the ongoing crisis.
Officials stressed that strict safety protocols and continuous monitoring of the security situation remain in place as the regional situation continues to evolve.
