Tehran (Web Desk): Millions of people took to the streets in Isfahan and other cities to pay tribute to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei after his confirmed death in an alleged US-Israel attack. The nation entered a period of mourning.

Government-released videos show huge crowds gathering in Isfahan’s historic Naqsh-e Jahan Square. People were holding placards, chanting slogans, and many appeared visibly emotional.

Demonstrators said they had gathered to honor the services of their leader and to show national unity during this difficult time.

Across the country, memorial gatherings and prayer events were held, with black flags hoisted on mosques and government buildings. Security was tightened to prevent any incidents.

Political analysts warn that Khamenei’s assassination and the resulting public reaction could have deep impacts on regional politics.
