Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned that recent US actions in the Strait of Hormuz could lead to dangerous consequences for regional stability.
According to Iranian state media, the warning came during a telephone conversation between Araghchi and China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi. The two leaders discussed the evolving situation in the الخليج region and the importance of maintaining peace in critical maritime routes.
Araghchi expressed concern that the presence and activities of the United States in these sensitive waters could further complicate the already tense situation. He emphasized that such actions pose a direct threat to regional stability and could escalate tensions at a critical time.
In response, Wang Yi praised the resilience of the Iranian people during the ongoing conflict and reiterated China’s support for diplomatic efforts. He stated that Beijing is ready to play a constructive role in advancing dialogue and helping reach a peaceful resolution to the crisis.
