(Web Desk): Iran proposes three conditions to end regional tensions after attacks on foreign oil tankers near Iraq, raising global security concerns and diplomatic attention.

Tensions in the Middle East escalated as reports emerged of attacks on two foreign oil tankers near Iraq’s Al-Faw port. The incident has heightened regional security concerns, prompting neighboring countries to implement strict protective measures.

According to reports, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia claimed that Iranian missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) were intercepted mid-air, preventing potential damage. This rapid response helped avoid immediate losses to the vessels and infrastructure.

Iran’s Three Conditions to Restore Peace

In response to the crisis, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian outlined three conditions for ending hostilities and establishing lasting regional peace:

1.     Recognition of Iran’s legitimate rights – Iran demands acknowledgment of its regional and security rights.

2.     Compensation for wartime damages – Countries responsible for losses during the conflict must provide restitution.

3.     Strong international guarantees against future aggression – Binding assurances must be given to prevent any potential attacks against Iran.

Iranian officials stated that accepting these conditions could pave the way for positive diplomatic progress and stabilization in the region.

Global Reactions and Maritime Security Measures

Meanwhile, the United States has announced it will ensure the protection of oil tankers along crucial maritime routes to prevent disruption in global oil supply. Analysts suggest that while regional tensions may rise further, ongoing diplomatic efforts could help manage and de-escalate the situation.
