Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has claimed that Iran emerged victorious in its recent conflict with the United States and Israel, saying the country's achievements must now be reinforced through political, legal, and diplomatic efforts.

Speaking on the country's future, Ghalibaf said the international community should recognize what he described as Iran's success during the conflict. He stressed that preserving these gains requires unity at home as well as continued diplomatic engagement abroad.

Calls for stronger national unity

Ghalibaf said Iran's leadership has consistently promoted the vision of a stronger nation since the death of General Qassem Soleimani. He argued that national unity, social cohesion, and public support for the country's leadership are essential to strengthening Iran.

He added that building a powerful nation requires strengthening every citizen, every family, and society as a whole.

Comments on leadership transition

Ghalibaf also discussed the period following the reported death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, saying senior officials initially planned to announce the news the following morning after a high-level meeting.

According to him, the announcement had to be made earlier than planned after foreign media outlets reported the development. He said the decision was made in consultation with senior officials, including then-Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani.

Ghalibaf added that authorities also decided to call on citizens to gather in the streets following the announcement.

His remarks come as tensions between Iran, the United States, and Israel remain high, with regional developments continuing to draw close international attention. Iranian officials have repeatedly emphasized national unity and resilience as key priorities amid ongoing geopolitical challenges.
