Iran claims over 200 us troops killed in strikes as tensions deepen
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) spokesperson Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi said more than 200 American soldiers were killed and many others were injured during recent Iran US Conflict operations.
He described the attacks as Iranian retaliatory strikes against American forces in the region.
Speaking to an Iranian news agency, General Mohebbi claimed the Iran US Conflict escalated after the United States allegedly violated the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
He said Iran targeted several US military bases, causing heavy military and human losses. According to him, the number of injured American soldiers is even higher than the reported deaths.
The IRGC spokesperson claimed Iranian forces struck eight US military bases across the region.
He also alleged that 20 hardened military shelters at one location were completely destroyed during the Iranian retaliatory strikes.
General Mohebbi challenged Washington to allow international journalists to visit the affected military sites if the US believes its official statements are accurate.
He said independent media should inspect the damage and present the facts to the world.
The Iranian official also repeated earlier claims that the Iran US attacks over the past two weeks destroyed major American military equipment.

According to him, Iranian forces destroyed 11 US military aircraft and helicopters. He claimed the destroyed equipment included one F-15 fighter jet, one P-8 surveillance aircraft, one C-17 military transport aircraft, eight aerial refueling aircraft and 17 military drones during the latest Iran US attacks.
However, US authorities have not confirmed or denied these allegations. Independent international sources have also been unable to verify the reported number of US troops killed or the destruction of the military equipment.
The latest statements come as the Iran US Conflict continues to raise security concerns across the region, with both sides maintaining sharply different versions of recent events. The figures regarding US troops killed and damage to US military bases remain unverified.
